Motorcitysoul’s Matthias Vogt has ventured solo on this transfixing two-tracker for Urbantorque. Bringing together the deep soulful sounds of Motorcitysoul and the intriguing complexity of his jazz influences, Matthias has produced two sensational pieces of electronic ambience. Refined, decisive and absorbing club music that’s been meticulously purposed by a master of his trade.
1. 'Truffe' – Trickling controlled techno, bobbing bleeps, sensually soft chords and snippets of piano conspire to set the tone and heat up the night.
2. 'Frankfurt Sour' – A spookily intense and entrancing ditty that lulls you into its charms and traps.
Matthias Vogt is both a heavily in-demand DJ and an ingenious jazz player. He holds a residency at Sven Väth’s infamous Cocoon Club in Frankfurt, is one-half of esteemed production duo, Motorcitysoul, and is the founding member of the hugely successful jazz reinterpretation project, re:jazz.
