Electronica / IDM / Breakcore

The third edition of Other Stuff To Dance To, Humanworkshop's fresh, new, monthly club night in Amsterdam, dedicated to eclectic forms of groovy electronica! Wax your shoes 'cause we'll bring you a fine international line-up this time...
---------------------------------------------

Miles Tilmann - live [USA; Consumer's Research / Toytronic / Sub:Marine]
IDM / Electronica

Straight out of Chicago, Miles Tilmann sets ashore on the European mainland for the first time in his musical career. He has recently released his full length LP 'Yes and No' on Consumer's Research. Before his records were released on Sub:Marine and the renowned UK label Toytronic. He toured the United States three times and has played with numerous improvisational groups in Chicago, utilising instruments including keyboards, computers, record players and tape machines. He will make a special blend of atmospherics and heavy sequencing, balanced with live keyboard, field recordings, and a broad assortment of rhythmic hits. He has been described as eclectic, tantalizing and as a "grossly underrated American talent."

Herrmutt Lobby - live [Belgium]
IDM / Turntablism

The mysterious Belgian collective Herrmutt Lobby makes it Dutch live debut on Other Stuff To Dance To. The group, far from inexperienced, is composed of "nerds extraordinaire" Kadah Vresky, Rawakari and Back & Forth. Seperately they have already made several releases, on labels such as DUB and !K&. Voluntarily sequestered in the Merlin HQ [and other dubious locations of ill repute], Herrmutt Lobby are essentially these massive electronic jam sessions; selected, filtered and arranged for your optimal listening pleasure. The next step is to take these sounds out of the comforting environment of smoky, dim lit bedrooms, and into the spotlight, onto the stage in front of an audience.

Herrmutt Lobby recently released a track on On Records: http://www.onrecords.com

Remus - live [NL, Humanworkshop]
Cinematic Breakcore

Remus will represent Humanworkshop this night, climbing the stage with his massive set up of hardware sound devices. His hard-hitting and complex balance of rhythms, layered to deep space strings and pouch-throbbing, floor drilling sub-basses, makes his his music sound like the soundtrack to a nasty adult version of Harry Potter.

Salvador [NL, Studio 80]
Resident DJ

Salvador will make sure you all feel at home, mixing the finest of leftfield electronica.
