SumSuch Feat. Rosko: ‘Latenite Bypass’

1.‘Latenite Bypass’ (Original Mix)
2.‘Latenite Bypass’ (Manoo Remix)
3.‘Latenite Bypass’ (Stephen Lopkin Remix)

Brighton-based musician Sumsuch and Deft Recordings’ DJ Rosko have put their heads together to produce a wonderfully distinct, unusual and absorbing track. Their original is brilliantly complemented by sterling remixes from Buzzin’ Fly’s Manoo, with a deep house monster, and Urban Torque’s new remix wizard, Stephen Lopkin, who turns out an irresistibly chilled interpretation. This is a release jammed full of soul and invention; definitely not to be bypassed at any time of day!

1. ‘Latenite Bypass’ (Original Mix) – The fresh sounding offspring of two very different producers collaborating that carries an air of spontaneity and imagination throughout. ‘Latenight Bypass’ soothes, creaks and moans in time to intriguing beats.

2. ‘Latenite Bypass’ (Manoo Remix) – Manoo displays his knack for dancefloor dominance, firing out an irrepressible frenetic yet deep remix that peaks and dips assertively.

3. ‘Latenite Bypass’ (Stephen Lopkin Remix) – Stephen Lopkin adds his idiosyncratic touch. Opening with a soft sunset vibe, guitar, piano and trumpet are gently added, whilst the track evolves into bracing deep house.

Brighton based musician, producer and DJ, Will Sumsuch writes and produces chilled soul, hip hop, and even a bit of deep house on the weekend. His tracks have garnered radio support across the globe from such tastemakers as Ben Watt (Buzzin’ Fly, Galaxy FM) and Ras Kwame (BBC 1Xtra). He's remixed Soulphonic Soundsystem, Candy Apple & Grand Agent, as well as writing and producing for Nou (One Little Indian) and Asbest The Moor King (latenite lounging).

For ‘Latenite Bypass’ Will enlisted the help of DJ Rosko, the man behind the classic deep/soulful Nottingham House label Deft Recordings, for production and structural assistance. The result is a track that falls outside both producers' usual comfort zones.
